Meaghan Ing was born and raised in Barrie, ON.  She started studying piano and voice at a young age. After achieving grade 10 piano and grade 9 voice certificates from the Royal Conservatory of Music, her passion for the performing arts led her to Sheridan Institute of Technology where she received her diploma for Music Theatre – Performance. 

Since graduating, Meaghan has had many opportunities to work in her field, both on and off stage.  Past credits include:  Nunsense (Orillia Stage Company), They’re Playing Our Song (Showboat Festival Theatre), The Rocky Horror Show (The Loft), Race Day! (Lighthouse Festival Theatre), the U.S. National Tour of Dirty Rotten Scoundrels (Drayton/Columbia), Come By The Hills (Smile Theatre), Side By Side By Sondheim (Theatre Collingwood), Urinetown (Theatre Sheridan).  Meaghan received a THEA award for Best Musical Direction for her work on South Simcoe Theatre’s production of Little Women in 2007. 

Meaghan is a member of the National Association for Teachers of Singing (NATS) and enjoys teaching piano and voice lessons out of her home and at the Moving Art Centre in Barrie.  She is also the vocalist for the Baytowne Big Band.
